ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2025

SHD Elettronica speaker at ICOMIA 2025

Green innovation and digitalization at the service of marinas

ICOMIA 2025, a global event

From 15 to 17 October 2025, Venice will host the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference, the biennial event that brings together leaders, experts, and institutions of the nautical sector from all over the world. The conference will take place at the Venice Certosa Marina, a unique setting where innovation, collaboration, and the transformation of marinas will be discussed.

The presence of SHD Elettronica at the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2025

We are proud to announce that SHD Elettronica will be among the official speakers at the conference. Our experience in developing electronics and software for the nautical sector allows us to bring a concrete vision: innovating with a green and digital approach, reducing waste, and enhancing what already exists.

Sustainable innovation

For SHD Elettronica, innovation means responsibility above all. In the nautical sector, where infrastructures and resources have a direct impact on the environment and coastal communities, choosing sustainable solutions is no longer an option but a necessity. Our vision translates into a concrete approach aimed at making marinas more modern, efficient, and respectful of the natural context in which they operate.

Our path is based on a few key principles:

  • Reducing water and energy consumption through intelligent monitoring and management systems capable of turning data into concrete saving actions
  • Promoting the refitting of existing infrastructures, avoiding waste from unnecessary replacements and enhancing what is already in place within marinas
  • Extending the lifecycle of existing pedestals and systems, reducing costs and environmental impact while ensuring service continuity
  • Promoting intelligent digitalization by leveraging IoT to create connected and secure marinas, able to adapt to the needs of both users and operators

Energy transition and circular digitalization

The energy transition in marinas is an urgent challenge. SHD Elettronica proposes a model of sustainable digitalization based on circular economy principles: through smart refitting, existing pedestals are upgraded, reducing costs, waste, and environmental impact.

Port

Our low-power IoT solutions, based on a ZigBee Mesh architecture, create autonomous and scalable real-time networks. Compared to Wi-Fi or LoRa, mesh networks ensure higher energy efficiency, speed, interoperability, and lower infrastructure requirements.

Each utility point becomes part of a connected ecosystem, enabling remote monitoring, instant control, and consumption awareness. In this way, marinas optimize resource usage, reduce environmental impact, and open new perspectives for innovation and smart services.

A look to the future

Being present as speakers at the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference means sharing concrete experiences, engaging with global leaders, and proposing management models that are more modern and environmentally respectful, for the benefit of ports, marinas, and coastal communities.
